some flamenco, trip-hop, and hip-hop

VICENTE AMIGO - straight up, this is the craziest guitar playing I have ever seen, of any kind. sit back and try to keep your jaw up.

BONOBO - chill trip-hop with some really cool sounds.

CODE NAME: SCORPION - a combination of Abstract Rude, Prevail (of Swollen Members), and Moka Only. this is a badass sounding song.

BLISS N ESO - an awesome hip-hop group from Australia. You really have to listen to what these guys are saying, they spit the truth.

this song is probably their most well known, for good reasons.

Some more stuff

DAMIAN MARLEY: I was lucky enough to see him play live in both Whistler and Vancouver during the Olympics. If you saw him too, you know how amazing he is. If you didn't, you should be jealous.

FELT: this is what you get when you combine Murs and Slug (of Atmosphere) on the mic, and Aesop Rock on the beats. listen to this first track LOUD!

this one is produced by Slug, I believe.

MORCHEEBA: trip-hoppy, bluesy, I dont know what the fuck to call it, its awesome though. They have a crazy diversity of sounds.

thats all for now! enjoy

First!!!

Hello all, welcome to the first post on my fancy new music blog. I realized it would be a grand idea if i could have all the dope tracks I find in one place on the net, rather than throwing them on facebook!

Basically, I will just be posting up songs that I think everyone should hear, or genre-specific things. There will a variety of music; hip hop, trip hop, progressive rock, electronic, blues, psychedelic, reggae...whatever is good.

I'll start it off with some stuff I discovered today.

First up: RJD2. I definitely recognized some tracks off this album, but never knew the artist. I got two words for it: fuckin killer.

UP NEXT: COMMON MARKET. They are a Seattle based hip-hop duo. Chill beats, amazing production, tight rhymes, everything you would want.

LAST BUT NOT LEAST: THEM CROOKED VULTURES. Josh Homme (Queens of the Stone Age), John Paul Jones (Led Zeppelin), Dave Grohl (Nirvana). Nuff said.
